MP Police Under Fire: Man Bleeds Outside Police Station While Cops Get Car Washed

The CSR Journal Magazine

A shocking case of alleged police apathy has come to light from Daboh police station in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh. A grievously injured man, Shyamu Parihar, was reportedly left writhing in pain outside the police station, while officers inside prioritized getting their vehicle washed over providing him with help or registering his complaint.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday in Barthara village under Daboh jurisdiction, has drawn widespread criticism and sparked outrage among locals.

Property Dispute Turns Violent

According to initial reports, a long-standing family property dispute took a violent turn when Narayan Parihar and Komal Parihar allegedly attacked their relative, Shyamu Parihar, with an axe and sticks. The attack happened while Shyamu was constructing a wall on disputed land.

His brother, Ramu Parihar, managed to rescue him and rushed him to Daboh police station for immediate help and legal protection.

Officers Prioritize Car Wash Over Victim’s Life

Shockingly, instead of providing medical assistance or registering a prompt FIR, police personnel, including Sub-Inspector Ravindra Kumar Manjhi, allegedly remained occupied with washing their official vehicle. Witnesses stated that even as Shyamu lay bleeding and in pain, officers showed little urgency.

It reportedly took over an hour and multiple pleas from the victim’s family before an FIR was finally registered. “Instead of saving my brother, they were bargaining with us,” said Ramu Parihar, adding they have appealed directly to Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav for justice.

Bribery Allegations and FIR Flip

Adding to the outrage, locals have alleged that police demanded money to file the complaint. When the family refused to pay, they claim the officers retaliated by naming Shyamu, the victim, as the accused in the case.

“Instead of saving my brother, they were bargaining with us,” said Ramu Parihar, adding that they have now approached Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav seeking justice.

No Action Yet, Public Demands Accountability

Inspector Rakesh Sharma acknowledged that the behavior of the sub-inspector was unacceptable and stated that such conduct should not have occurred. However, no immediate disciplinary action has been confirmed against the officers involved.

Residents have condemned the incident as a gross display of negligence and power misuse, demanding a transparent probe and strict punishment for those responsible.

“MP Ajab Hai, Sabse Gajab Hai” – Public Lashes Out

The incident has reignited debates around police accountability in Madhya Pradesh. Locals say the episode reflects deep-rooted systemic issues and is another reason why public trust in law enforcement remains severely shaken.
