The father of Ketan Agarwal, a Pune realtor allegedly murdered in June, has expressed his belief that several members of his son’s fiancée Siya Goyal’s family may have been involved in the conspiracy to kill him.

Vishal Agarwal made these claims following the tragic incident where Ketan was reportedly pushed off a cliff by Siya and her alleged accomplice, Chetan Chaudhary. His demands include capital punishment for those identified as being responsible for his son’s death.

Agarwal Takes Legal Steps

Vishal Agarwal has approached the court for a copy of the chargesheet in his son’s case, along with a request for the appointment of Ujjwal Nikam as the special public prosecutor. On Monday, he conveyed his intention to comment on the chargesheet only after he has had a chance to review its contents. He stated, “I have not yet gone through the chargesheet. I will comment once I read it. We have already approached the court for a copy.”

Despite investigations progressing, Agarwal remains strongly convinced that other family members of Siya Goyal should also come under scrutiny for their alleged roles in the conspiracy. “I still suspect that Siya’s father, mother, brother, uncle and aunt are involved in the conspiracy to murder Ketan,” he stated, indicating that these suspicions will be clarified once he has reviewed the chargesheet.

Recent reports suggest that Siya may have secretly tied the knot with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary. Agarwal raised questions regarding this information and queried why her family had attempted to arrange Siya’s marriage to Ketan if those reports hold any truth. His statements reflect his concerns about the consistency of the family’s actions in relation to the investigation.

Demands for a Fast-Track Trial

Vishal Agarwal has previously appealed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for a fast-tracked trial and the formal appointment of Ujjwal Nikam as the special public prosecutor in this high-profile case. He has expressed frustration over not receiving concrete responses to either of these critical requests.

“Till date, I have not received any concrete clarification on either of these demands. I will once again request the government to issue the necessary notification,” Agarwal remarked. The Pune Rural Police recently submitted a chargesheet exceeding 5,000 pages, detailing allegations against Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary, and his friend Ritesh Hange.
