The CSR Journal Magazine

In a shocking incident in Kerala’s Kasaragod district, a 36-year-old fish trader, Anil Kumar, survived a brutal knife attack that left a weapon lodged in his neck. The assault occurred on Sunday night after a financial disagreement between two groups spiraled into violence as reported by NDTV.

According to police, Kumar received a phone call from the accused over a financial dispute and was asked to meet in Seethangoli village, located in the northern part of Kasaragod. However, when he arrived at the spot, he was ambushed and physically assaulted by a group of men.

Knife Still in Neck as Victim Walked Into Hospital

The situation escalated when one of the attackers stabbed Kumar in the neck. In a disturbing video circulating on social media, the moment of the stabbing is clearly visible. Despite the severity of the wound, Kumar managed to walk into a hospital in Mangaluru with the knife still embedded in his neck, shocking both patients and medical staff.

Doctors at the hospital immediately began treatment and described his condition as serious but stable. He is currently undergoing medical care for the stab injury.

Police Swiftly Detain Suspects

Authorities have acted swiftly in response to the incident. Four individuals connected to the assault have been detained, and two vehicles believed to have been used in the attack have also been seized. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact motive and whether the attack was premeditated.

Separate Stabbing in Hyderabad Over Loan Dispute

In a separate but similarly disturbing incident, a 20-year-old man was stabbed multiple times by a friend over a ₹33,000 loan dispute in Kachanbagh, Hyderabad. The accused, identified as Taher bin Abdullah Barrawar Ahmed, allegedly lured his friend, Shai Saif, near Charminar under the pretense of repaying the money. Instead, he attacked him with a knife, causing injuries to the neck and shoulder.

The victim was admitted to Owaisi Hospital, and local police are investigating the case.
