An incident of severe abuse has emerged involving a couple from Indore who fell victim to a man posing as a medical professional. The individual, along with accomplices, misled the couple under the guise of offering in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy services. Over several months, the couple endured threats and psychological torture while the man exploited the situation for his gain. The woman’s experience included being drugged and raped, leading to complications during her pregnancy.

Hostage Situation and Premature Birth

After the woman became pregnant, the couple found themselves locked in a flat monitored by CCTV around the clock, as the accused sought to prevent their escape. This confinement was part of an effort to intimidate them further. The situation escalated when the woman experienced health issues during her eighth month of pregnancy; she was subsequently taken to a medical facility where she delivered her son prematurely. Upon her discharge, the alleged doctor and his accomplices forcibly took the newborn, intensifying the couple’s distress.

Fraudulent Documents and Ongoing Threats

The scam involved the use of fraudulent documentation, including multiple blank stamp papers and copies of Aadhaar cards, to carry out three IVF procedures. The couple was persistently coerced into compliance with the plan laid out by the self-proclaimed doctor. When the IVF attempts failed, the situation turned severe, culminating in the doctor drugging and assaulting the woman. Subsequent to their traumatic experiences, the couple was constantly monitored and threatened with imprisonment if they attempted to leave or report the man.

Severe Psychological Impact and Fear for Safety

The couple, already burdened with significant financial difficulties, became entangled in a web of deception that further exacerbated their troubles. After the birth of their son, threats escalated, resulting in the formatting of the husband’s mobile phone and coercion with a firearm at the Dussehra Maidan in Indore. The accused not only took physical control of the child but also crafted false documents, including a fake compensation agreement and a death certificate, to substantiate their threats and coercive tactics.

Legal Action Initiated After Reporting the Incident

The harrowing story came to the attention of local law enforcement following the couple’s approach to Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh. The couple now fears for their safety and the well-being of their child, as speculation arises regarding the possibility of the accused attempting to flee the country. The ongoing investigation aims to bring the individuals involved to justice and address the serious implications of such fraudulent and exploitative actions in the realm of surrogacy.
