Indian Man Beaten by Trans Women in Thailand Over Payment Dispute, Video Viral

The CSR Journal Magazine

An Indian tourist was allegedly assaulted by a group of transgender women in Thailand’s Pattaya city following a dispute over payment for sexual services. The incident occurred in the early hours of December 27 near the entrance of the popular Walking Street, a well-known nightlife and tourist hub. Videos of the assault have since surfaced online, triggering widespread attention and concern.

Dispute Escalates Into Public Assault

According to local media outlet Thaiger, the victim was identified as 52-year-old Indian national Raj Jasuja. In videos circulating on social media, several transgender women can be seen surrounding Jasuja and demanding money. When he allegedly refused to pay and attempted to leave the area in a car, the situation escalated. The group reportedly pulled him out of the vehicle with the help of bystanders and assaulted him in public view.

Rescue workers from the Sawang Borriboon Dhammastan Foundation received an emergency call around 5.30 am reporting an assault involving a foreign national. Upon reaching the spot, responders found Jasuja with visible injuries to his face and the back of his head. He was given first aid at the scene before being taken to Pattamakun Hospital for further medical treatment. His condition was reported to be stable.

Eyewitness Account

A 19-year-old Thai eyewitness told rescue workers that the incident began with a heated argument between Jasuja and a transgender sex worker. The witness claimed both were seen chasing and hitting each other before additional individuals joined the confrontation. According to the account, the dispute was allegedly linked to Jasuja not paying the full amount agreed upon for sexual services.

Police Response and Investigation

Thai police said they would ask the Indian tourist to file a formal complaint once he has fully recovered. Authorities stated that a detailed investigation would follow in accordance with Thai law. While the videos have gone viral, officials have not independently verified all details shown in the footage.

Pattaya has witnessed similar incidents involving tourists in the past. Local media reports noted that in recent months, other Indian nationals were allegedly assaulted or robbed following disputes with sex workers. Authorities continue to urge tourists to exercise caution while visiting nightlife areas.
