Hyderabad Woman Beats Husband to Death With Brick in Front of 12-Year-Old Son

The CSR Journal Magazine

A shocking incident has come to light from Keshampet mandal of Ranga Reddy district in Telangana. A woman allegedly murdered her husband following frequent quarrels over his drinking habits and suspected extramarital affair. The victim, identified as Koppu Kumar (35), was a daily-wage labourer. The victim was found dead in a water sump near his residence on Sunday morning.

Fatal Argument Escalates

According to police reports, Kumar returned home drunk on Saturday night and picked a quarrel with his wife, Madhavi. The argument turned violent when Madhavi, enraged and reportedly subjected to years of abuse, picked up a cement brick and struck Kumar on the head while he was asleep, killing him instantly.

“We have not yet taken the wife into custody as she is being investigated. We will be taking action soon,” the Inspector said.

Son Witnessed the Crime

Their 12-year-old son, who was asleep at the time, woke up during the commotion and witnessed the aftermath. He reportedly tried to stop his mother from moving the body but was unable to intervene. Madhavi allegedly dragged Kumar’s body outside and dumped it into a nearby under-construction water sump.

On Sunday morning, Kumar’s brother Jangaiah, who lives nearby, questioned Madhavi about Kumar’s whereabouts. She claimed he had gone missing the previous night. However, upon searching the premises with the help of locals, the body was found in the sump, showing severe head injuries and bleeding from the ears and nose.

Police Investigation Underway

Based on preliminary findings and the son’s statement, police suspect Madhavi of committing the murder. Inspector B. Narahari of Keshampet police station confirmed that a case has been registered. The body was sent for post-mortem examination. As of now, Madhavi is absconding and a manhunt has been launched to trace her.

“In the night, while Kumar was asleep Madhavi took a cement block from the house and struck her husband on the head, causing fatal injuries. He died instantly. She then dragged the body and dumped it in an under-construction water sump near their house,” said Keshampet Inspector, B Narahari.
