Google is set to unveil its next-generation Pixel smartphones at the Made by Google 2026 event on August 12 in New York City, continuing its tradition of launching flagship Pixel devices during the second half of the year.

Google Pixel 11 Launch Set For August 12

Google has sent invitations to select media confirming that the Made by Google 2026 event will take place in New York City on August 12.

The invitation features two devices, believed to be models from the Pixel 11 series, shown in a golden shade with aluminium frames.

Google has not officially disclosed the complete product lineup expected to debut at the event.

The Pixel 11 series is expected to go on sale around a week after the launch, following a timeline similar to the previous generation.

The Made by Google event in 2025 was held on August 20 and hosted by American comedian and television presenter Jimmy Fallon. The Pixel 10 series subsequently went on sale on August 28.

How To Watch Google Pixel 11 Launch Event

Google will livestream the Made by Google 2026 event through its official YouTube channel and website.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 pm EST on August 12, which corresponds to 3.30 am IST on August 13 in India.

Details regarding pre-orders, availability and the first markets where the Pixel 11 devices will go on sale are expected to be announced during the event.

Pixel 11 Series Could Include Four Smartphones

Leaks suggest Google could introduce four devices under the Pixel 11 lineup.

The expected models include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Leaked renders indicate that Google could retain the horizontally aligned camera module used on its existing Pixel smartphones.

One noticeable design change could be an all-black camera module across the Pixel 11 lineup.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold, however, is expected to receive a redesigned camera bump.

Google Could Introduce Pixel Glow Notification System

One of the biggest rumoured additions to the Pixel 11 series is a feature called Pixel Glow.

Reports suggest Google could introduce an array of LED lights on the smartphones that illuminate for notifications.

The system could operate in a manner similar to the Glyph interface used on Nothing smartphones.

However, Pixel Glow is tipped to feature RGB lighting, potentially allowing users greater customisation of colours and notification patterns.

Tensor G6 Chip Expected Across Pixel 11 Lineup

Display sizes across the Pixel 11 series are expected to remain broadly similar to the previous generation.

The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are tipped to feature 6.3-inch OLED displays, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL could retain a 6.8-inch OLED panel.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to feature a 6.4-inch external cover display and an 8-inch internal foldable screen.

All four smartphones are expected to be powered by Google’s Tensor G6 processor.

Reports describe the Tensor G6 as a seven-core chipset manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process.

The transition from the 3nm-based Tensor G5 used in the Pixel 10 series could bring improvements in performance and power efficiency.

Google is also expected to use MediaTek’s M90 modem across the Pixel 11 lineup, replacing Samsung modems used in previous Pixel devices.

Pixel 11 Could Get New Camera And Video Features

Limited information has emerged about the camera hardware expected on the Pixel 11 series, with reports suggesting Google could retain several sensors used on the Pixel 10 lineup.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL featured triple-camera systems comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom.

The standard Pixel 10 featured a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 10.5-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold used a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom.

Among the new camera capabilities rumoured for the Pixel 11 series is an ultra-low-light video mode that could process footage directly on the device.

Other tipped features include Cinematic Blur video recording at 4K resolution and 30 frames per second, a video relighting feature and up to 100x digital zoom.

Google Expected To Expand On-Device AI Features

Artificial intelligence is expected to remain a major focus of the Pixel 11 lineup.

Google could introduce additional on-device AI capabilities powered by the Tensor G6 processor.

Reports suggest the smartphones may receive new agentic AI features alongside deeper integration with Gemini Intelligence.

Details regarding the capabilities and availability of these AI features are likely to be announced during the Made by Google event.

Google Pixel 11 Series Prices Could Increase

Reports suggest Google could increase prices across the Pixel 11 lineup amid higher component costs linked to the ongoing memory supply crisis.

The Pixel 10 was launched in India at Rs 79,999.

The Pixel 10 Pro was priced at Rs 1,09,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL was launched at Rs 1,24,999.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the most expensive device in the lineup, was priced at Rs 1,72,999.

Google is expected to reveal official pricing, availability and pre-order details for the Pixel 11 series during the August 12 launch event.
