Shubman Gill is set to captain the Indian cricket team as they face West Indies in a three-match One Day International (ODI) series. His leadership journey began last year when he took over the ODI captaincy.

Gill’s ODI Performance Statistics

The upcoming ODI series against the West Indies will see both Kohli and Rohit bringing their wealth of experience to India’s batting lineup. The squad includes Gill as captain and KL Rahul serving as vice-captain. The matches are set to take place in various locations, with the second ODI in Guwahati on September 30, followed by the third match in New Chandigarh on October 3.

This series will also be part of a larger tour that includes five T20I matches, concluding in Bengaluru on October 17. Gill holds an impressive ODI record against the West Indies, with 331 runs in six matches. His average stands at 66.2, complemented by a strike rate of 92.71, with a highest score of 98.
