A shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon in Haryana’s Faridabad district. Here, a 45-year-old man, identified as Manoj Mahato, allegedly died by suicide. Manoj jumped in front of the Golden Temple Express train.
However, what shocked the nation is that Mahato did not die alone. He jumped before the running train along with his four young sons in Faridabad. According to reports, all five died on the spot.
Who was Manoj Mahato?
The deceased, Manoj Mahato was a native of Tartara village in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district. Manoj had been residing with his family in Subhash Colony, Ballabhgarh. Manoj lived with his Wife and four young sons. His four sons, aged between 3 and 10 years.

What happened?
Reports suggest that the tragic incident occurred around 12:55 PM near the Elson Chowk railway flyover. The bodies were found approximately a kilometer before Ballabgarh station. The loco pilot of the Golden Temple Mail (12903), en route from Mumbai to Amritsar, alerted the local authorities after witnessing the horrific site.
Initial investigations by the Government Railway Police (GRP) suggest domestic discord as a potential motive behind the suicide. According to reports, Manoj Mahato had a heated argument with his wife, Priya, on Tuesday morning. Police sources indicate that Mahato had suspicions about his wife’s fidelity. He allegedly believed that his wife was cheating on him with another man.
Taking children to Park, Mahato told wife
After a heated argument between Mahato and his wife he got very frustrated. Following the argument, Mahato reportedly told his wife he was taking their children to a park. However, instead of going to the park, he bought them cold drinks and chips. He then led them to the nearby railway tracks.
