Ex-Pak Minister Hina Rabbani Denies Terror Link, Internet Calls Out Contradictions

Hina Rabbani Khar, former Pakistani Foreign Minister, during a live TV show, tried her best to cover up the presence of a global terrorist during a funeral procession in Pakistan. While trying to defend Islamabad’s stance on Hafiz Abdur Rauf, Khar claimed that the person seen at the funeral was just a common man and not a global terrorist. Holding the image of the funeral, she said, “There are countless people with that name in Pakistan. This is not the person India claims it is.”

Following her “common man” theory, the interview became confrontational. The reporter countered her by saying that while she was referring to the person as a common man, the Pakistan military had designated that so-called common man as a member of a political party and even showed his national ID number — a number that matched the ID listed under terrorism activity. When caught off guard, Khar defended herself by saying that the Pakistani army isn’t defending any global terrorist.

Talking about the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Army, she said, “The ISPR has clearly stated it is not the same person.” However, the interviewer again contradicted her by quoting her own earlier statement: “You just said the army defended him. They didn’t deny the identity.”

This awkward conversation during the show has gone viral, with people talking about the internal contradictions in Pakistan. The video of Rauf leading funeral prayers for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists has also gone viral.

In the viral video, Rauf is seen at the funeral and is also shouting slogans of ‘Al Jihad, Al Jihad’. Rauf is known for his close links with Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), the LeT’s front organisation.
