The External Affairs Minister of India, S. Jaishankar, recently expressed appreciation for the strong partnership between India and Luxembourg, referring to it as a “very trusted relationship.” This statement was made during a meeting with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, on September 7, in New Delhi. The conversation highlighted the potential for enhanced supply chain resilience and economic diversification between the two nations.

Jaishankar’s remarks emphasised the significance of this visit, which underscores the growing bilateral ties. He articulated his gratitude towards Luxembourg for its robust support concerning the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union (EU). He noted, “In an era where Foreign Ministers generally worry about uncertainties and what is going wrong with the world, I think ours is a very trusted relationship.”
