A man is reported to have killed his wife in an alleged drunken stupor during a domestic dispute in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district. The tragic event took place in Borgaan village on April 11, 2026, following their return from a wedding function. The couple’s four-year-old son reportedly witnessed the incident and later alerted neighbours about the horrific event.

The accused, identified as Subas Gond, allegedly engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Manai Gond, stemming from suspicions about her character. The confrontation reportedly escalated, resulting in a violent altercation that led to her death on the spot.

Subas Gond’s family alleges that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time when the incident occurred. After the altercation, it is claimed that the accused disposed of his wife’s body in the septic tank of their home in an attempt to conceal the crime.
