“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” Achieves Rs 200 Crore Milestone at Box Office

Aditya Dhar’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” continues its exceptional run at the box office, showcasing a remarkable performance on its second day of release. While final figures are pending, early estimates indicate that the film garnered between Rs 74.70 crore and Rs 76 crore nett on Friday. This brings its total earnings for the first two days, inclusive of paid previews, to over Rs 200 crore nett in India.

Upcoming Eid Weekend Expected to Boost Earnings

As the film moves into the lucrative Eid weekend, the upward trend in its earnings is anticipated to continue. Having opened with a remarkable collection of Rs 103 crore and achieving Rs 146 crore when previews are included, both Saturday and Sunday are projected to surpass initial expectations. It is estimated that “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” could breach the Rs 500 crore mark globally by the end of its opening weekend.

Domestic Collections and Show Count

As of now, the film’s domestic gross collection has reached approximately Rs 260.78 crore, bolstered by an extensive release across 20,125 shows within India. The majority of earnings are being generated from the Hindi-speaking market, where the film is enjoying packed theatres and an occupancy rate exceeding 63 percent. In contrast, revenues from South Indian markets remain limited due to the absence of widely dubbed versions.

Regional Earnings Analysis

On its second day, the film’s Tamil version brought in Rs 0.24 crore, while the Telugu version collected Rs 0.76 crore. The Malayalam and Kannada versions reported minimal earnings of Rs 0.01 crore and Rs 0.02 crore, respectively. The Hindi version, however, has dominated box office collections.

Weekend Projections and Expectations

With strong predictions for both Saturday and Sunday, the film is set to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark on each of these days. This could potentially elevate its total box office collection over the extended weekend to an impressive estimate of Rs 450 to 500 crore nett within the domestic market.

The film features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, portraying Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari as he penetrates a terror-criminal network in Pakistan. The ensemble cast also includes notable actors R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi in significant roles.
