Delhi Woman Mother of 2 Slits Wrist Inside Sitapur Police Station After Lover Ends Relationship

A woman from Delhi is in critical condition after she slit her wrist inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. The incident took place during a mediation session with her partner, who is also her husband’s nephew, after he ended their relationship.

The woman, identified as Pooja Mishra, is married to Lalit Kumar Mishra and is the mother of two young sons, aged seven and six. Her relationship with Alok Mishra, who is reportedly 15 years younger, began when he was invited to assist with work at their home. During his stay, the two developed a romantic connection.

Pooja Leaves Family to Live With Nephew-Lover; Relationship Ends After 7 Months

After discovering the affair, Pooja’s husband asked Alok to leave. However, Pooja chose to leave her family and relocate to Bareilly, where she lived with Alok for around seven months. Their relationship deteriorated after some time, and Alok returned to his native village in Sitapur.

Pooja later followed him to Sitapur, prompting police to intervene. Both were called to the local police station to settle their dispute. During the conversation, Alok reportedly told Pooja he no longer wanted to be with her. In a sudden and emotional reaction, she pulled out a blade and slit her wrist inside the station, causing alarm among police and bystanders.

Woman Critical After Suicide Attempt in Police Station; Probe Underway

Police immediately transported her to a nearby hospital, and she was later referred to Lucknow due to the critical nature of her injuries. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement, and investigations are ongoing.

According to an NDTV report, the incident has drawn significant public attention. More details are awaited as police continue their inquiry.
