The Delhi High Court judges inaugurated the newly renovated Common Bar Room and Canteen located within the Lawyers’ Chambers Block of the Rohini District Court Complex. The event was presided over by Justice Sanjeev Narula, who serves as the Chairman of the Portfolio Committee. Other judges in attendance included Justice Mini Pushkarna, Justice Amit Mahajan, and Justice Tejas Karia, all of whom are members of the Committee.

Judicial and Legal Community Attendance

The inauguration ceremony also saw the participation of Principal District and Sessions Judge Nisha Saxena from the North-West District, Principal District and Sessions Judge Prem Kumar Bhardwaj from the North District, as well as numerous other judges and a significant number of advocates. This gathering underscored the importance of community involvement in improving the facilities available for legal professionals.

Advocate Pardeep Khatri, Secretary of the Rohini Bar Association, spoke at the event, emphasising the Association’s persistent efforts to enhance infrastructure and facilities for lawyers. He stated that the renovation of the Common Bar Room and Canteen demonstrates the Executive Committee’s dedication to advancing the welfare of the legal community. Khatri expressed his gratitude to the judges and everyone who contributed to this initiative.

Advocate Rajiv Tehlan, President of the Rohini Bar Association, extended his thanks to the judges, the District Judiciary, and the Bar members for their ongoing support. He acknowledged the significance of the newly renovated spaces, which aim to provide essential facilities for lawyers. According to Khatri, the Common Bar Room is designed to offer a space for practitioners to rest and discuss cases throughout the day.

The newly refurbished canteen is ideally situated within the Lawyers’ Chambers, making it an essential amenity for legal professionals working in the Rohini District Court. Prior to this, the North District was under the jurisdiction of the Tis Hazari Court.
