Mumbai, India: Tata Capital, the financial services arm of the Tata Group, is proud to announce that Project Aarogyatara, has successfully conducted 1 million screenings in its mission to eliminate curable blindness.The initiative, aimed at providing inclusive primary eye care, organizes community-level eye screening camps across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Bihar.
By offering cataract surgeries and spectacles to underserved individuals, the project is improving eye health among low-income families while raising awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups. These efforts are made possible through collaborations with leading eye hospitals and non-profit organizations to deliver affordable, accessible, and high-quality curative and preventive eye care services.
