Before the Bihar assembly elections, Union Minister and LJP leader Chirag Paswan has put a big condition on seat sharing. Chirag Paswan said that the question is not of seat number, the question is of strike rate. We would like to fight from where our victory is confirmed. Chirag said that every party has a figure about the seat. We also have the number of seats. We know how many seats we have to fight. We also know that more quality will matter more than the number of seats. In such a situation, we would like to fight in those seats where our victory is sure.
Wishing 100 percent strike rate
Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that his party had won the election at 100 percent strike rate in the Lok Sabha elections. Chirag says, “I would like to take the seats in the assembly like the Lok Sabha, on which I should give 100 percent strike rate. There was 100 percent in the Lok Sabha. I want to keep 100 percent in the assembly as well.” LJP supremo says, “For me two seats do not matter less, but for me the seats which I can win by winning 100 percent. I think there should be a distribution of seats on this basis.” In the last election, Chirag Paswan’s vote percentage has been around 6 percent, while LJP says that if he had contested all the seats, it could have gone up to 10 or 11 percent.
Who can get how many seats in NDA
Bihar has 243 assembly seats. There are five parties in the NDA and everyone wants them to contest more and more seats. On September 18, 2025, Nitish Kumar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah also met. Meanwhile, according to sources, according to the latest figure of seat sharing in NDA, JDU 102-103 out of 243 in Bihar, BJP-101-102, LJP Ram Vilas (Chirag Paswan’s party) 25-28, Hum (Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party) 6-7 and RLM (Upendra Kushwaha’s party) can contest elections on 4-5 seats. Chirag Paswan’s terms have more emphasis on the selection of more seats than the number, which will have to be seen how the BJP and JDU solve.
