The CSR Journal Magazine

Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that Nitin Nabin, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will visit the state on September 17 to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. This engagement marks Nabin’s first trip to Madhya Pradesh since assuming his position as party leader. According to Yadav, Nabin’s itinerary includes arrival in Indore, followed by a visit to Ujjain, where he will take part in lamp-lighting ceremonies as part of the state’s Seva-Sankalp Campaign.

Significance of PM Modi’s Birthday

During his announcement, Yadav emphasised the importance of the occasion, recalling how a year ago, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park with the aim of enhancing governance and supporting the poor, particularly farmers in the region. He stated that the park is anticipated to benefit over six lakh cotton farmers, contributing significantly to reviving the cotton industry in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav noted that Modi’s initiatives have had a lasting impact on the state’s development and are vital for its agricultural economy.

CM Yadav also highlighted the development initiatives undertaken under Modi’s leadership, both as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and subsequently as Prime Minister. He mentioned that major projects across various sectors have showcased notable progress, and the contributions of Modi have been essential to uplifting the living standards of considerable numbers in the country.

Acknowledging Modi’s continuous influence, Yadav remarked that the development witnessed over the past 25 years is largely attributed to Modi’s vision and leadership. He stated that the elevation of India’s global standing is a direct result of Modi’s efforts, from basic infrastructure to significant constructions that mark the country’s advancement.

Mass Lamp-Lighting Initiative

CM Yadav further elaborated on the nationwide celebration coinciding with PM Modi’s birthday, noting that it would be part of a month-long ‘Maha Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He mentioned that the Madhya Pradesh government is actively participating in this initiative, which aims to highlight the month as one of service and community engagement. This celebration will underscore various efforts aimed at public welfare and developmental initiatives throughout the state.

The mass lamp-lighting programme, central to the Seva-Sankalp Campaign, is anticipated to attract significant participation and may set a world record for the largest participation in such an event. Yadav stressed that this initiative represents a symbolic gesture of enlightenment and development for the state, while also bringing communities together in celebration of the Prime Minister’s contributions to the nation.

As the date approaches, preparations are underway to ensure that the events associated with Nitin Nabin’s visit are executed successfully, particularly the lamp-lighting ceremonies which are set to take place in Ujjain, known for its rich cultural heritage. Local officials are optimistic about the turnout and the potential visibility of this campaign, both within the state and beyond.
