After Terror Tag, Bishnoi Gang Threatens More Violence in Canada

The CSR Journal Magazine

An alarming series of shootings across Surrey, South Surrey, and Maple Ridge has been claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This time, the attacks focused on properties linked to a single restaurant owner.

In a social media announcement, Goldy Dhillon, a known associate of the Lawrence gang accepted responsibility. In his post, he stated, “Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh. … Ehna 3 shootinga di jimmevari main lena ha. … J sanu kise hor restaurant de malak di same complaint ayi ta oh apne jaan te business de nuksan da aap jimmevar hove ga.”

Dhillon accused the restaurant owner of subjecting female employees to harassment and failing to pay wages. He warned that any business owner facing similar allegations “will be held accountable” for harm to their life or enterprise.

The properties targeted operate under the Ustad G 76 brand. Dhillon named three specific locations:

  • 13025 76 Ave, Surrey

  • 2160 King George Blvd, South Surrey

  • 21768 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge

According to his message, the gang intends that these establishments remain closed permanently.

These shootings follow earlier violence purportedly directed at Navi Tesi, a rival accused by the Bishnoi group of extorting Rs 5 million (about CAD $80,000) in their name. The gang claims that, over a span of days, they struck at Tesi’s house, his office, and a commercial complex. In that claim, a post read, “We are now taking responsibility for shooting at places belonging to Navi Teshi… Therefore we are after him.”

It went on to state, “We do not have enmity with hard‑working people… If anyone spreads false news in future, then the responsibility for any harm to the lives or businesses of those traders will be yours, not ours. Our method may seem wrong, but our intention is not wrong.”

Captured videos from both attacks showed masked perpetrators wielding high-grade arms, conducting drive‑by shootings. Authorities have not yet made arrests.

Goldy Dhillon Linked to Attacking Kapil Sharma’s Restaurant

Goldy Dhillon is already a wanted figure in India, implicated in extortion and targeted killings, and linked to a previous shooting at a café in Canada owned by the comedian Kapil Sharma. Meanwhile, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been investigating the Bishnoi network’s operations, both domestic and global.

On September 29, 2025, the Canadian government formally listed the Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity. As Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree explained, the designation enables the seizure of assets belonging to the gang, stricter legal charges, and enhanced tools to combat financing, recruitment, and cross-border criminal operations.

In India, the NIA recently filed its fifth chargesheet in the case, naming Rahul Sarkar as having facilitated forged identity documents including Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and bank accounts that helped gang operatives obtain passports and continue abroad. Sarkar is accused of aiding Sachin Bishnoi and others in building a global terror‑gang network, in alleged collusion with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

The Bishnoi gang’s social media posts include tributes to deceased members such as Ankit Bhadu Sehrawala, Jitender Gogi Maan, Kala Rana, Aarzoo Bishnoi, and Sahil Duhan Hisar, underlining their continued efforts at propaganda and brand cultivation.
