The Puthiya Needhi Katchi, which translates to “New Justice Party,” primarily garners support from the Mudaliyar community and derives its name from the early 20th-century Justice Party, a precursor to the Dravidian movement. Notably, Thiagarajan’s grandfather, P.T. Rajan, was a significant figure in the Justice Party’s history.
