Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberoi was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab’s Jalandhar city on Tuesday. The incident took place outside a gurdwara located in the Model Town locality, where Oberoi had gone to offer prayers.

Victim Attacked While Sitting in His Car

According to initial information, the assailants opened fire on Oberoi while he was seated in his vehicle parked outside the gurdwara. He had reportedly just exited the place of worship before being ambushed. Five bullets struck him during the attack, resulting in his immediate death. The attackers fled the scene after the incident.

Local police authorities arrived at the spot shortly after receiving information about the shooting.
