On Monday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the capital city. Under the comfortable sunlight at 5.30 pm, he rallied ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled in February. Called the ‘Jai Bheem-Jai Samvidhan’ rally, Rahul addresses north-east Delhi’s Seelampur area. This is the first time in the national capital region since the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.
Congress party’s Delhi in-charge, Qazi Nizamuddin, announced the rally on Sunday saying that ‘Mr. Gandhi’s rally will see huge participation by city dwellers’. Addressing a press conference at the Delhi Congress office, Qazi said “Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting — ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’.”
From the podium, Rahul Gandhi attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on not being able to control inflation. He also dismissed PM Modi’s policies for spreading hate in the country and not abiding by the constitution.
The 70-member Assembly of the capital city of Delhi is a week away from its polls. The popular tussle is between the currently ruling AAP, Congress and the BJP.
