The CSR Journal Magazine

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s fast bowler Yash Dayal will not participate in the Indian Premier League 2026 season, as confirmed by RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat. In a statement to Cricbuzz, Bobat revealed that Dayal is currently dealing with personal challenges. Although he remains under contract with the franchise, it has been determined that his absence is in his best interest.

Legal Concerns Surrounding Dayal

Yash Dayal has recently come under significant legal scrutiny, following multiple allegations of sexual assault and exploitation. The nature of these accusations has garnered considerable attention, particularly due to the intersection of ongoing legal matters with his cricketing career. One prominent case has been filed in Jaipur, where the charges implicate him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). This indicates that the complainant was reportedly a minor at the time of the alleged incidents.

Details of Allegations

The first information report (FIR) in Jaipur alleges that Dayal engaged in repeated sexual exploitation over an extended period. It is claimed that he exerted emotional influence and made promises regarding cricketing opportunities to initiate and sustain the relationship. The allegations detail a troubling pattern of behavior that has raised serious concerns.

Additional Accusations in Ghaziabad

In a separate matter, an additional complaint against Dayal has been filed in Ghaziabad. This case involves accusations of sexual exploitation under the pretext of marriage. The complainant alleges that Dayal misled her with false assurances while maintaining a relationship, which has led to further complications in the legal arena.

Denial of Allegations by Dayal

Yash Dayal has publicly denied all allegations against him, asserting that the claims are unfounded. Despite his contractual obligations and the ongoing scrutiny, he will not participate in the IPL this year as he navigates these serious personal and legal matters.
