A delivery worker became an unexpected hero when he intervened during a fire incident in the kitchen of Dr Shivangi Joshi in Mohali. The event unfolded while the worker was delivering a parcel, leading to a dramatic rescue captured on CCTV footage. This incident highlights the importance of quick action in emergencies and the impact of selflessness in everyday situations.

Details of the Fire Incident

The fire began when a pan left unattended on the stove started emitting smoke before igniting. As Dr Joshi approached the door to receive her delivery, she was caught off guard by the sudden outbreak of flames in her kitchen. The footage shows her initial shock as she struggled to comprehend the unfolding situation.

At that critical moment, the delivery worker, who had just arrived, did not hesitate to assist. He rushed into the kitchen, demonstrating remarkable composure under pressure. Thanks to his prompt actions, what could have resulted in a severe accident was effectively contained. Dr Joshi later shared the footage on social media, describing the experience as one of the most emotional moments of her life. She highlighted that the delivery worker’s actions transcended any stereotypes associated with his job, showcasing true bravery in a moment of crisis.

She referred to him as her saviour, acknowledging that while she might struggle to find the perfect words to express her gratitude, she would always remember his selfless act. “Some people deliver parcels. Some people deliver hope when you need it the most,” she concluded, reinforcing the notion that acts of kindness can come from the most unexpected sources.
