A shocking incident has come to light from Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Woman named Kajal, conspired with her lover, Ajit, to murder her husband, Manish. The heinous crime came to light after a thorough police investigation. Kajal, who had been married to Manish after his first wife’s death, had been secretly involved in an extramarital affair with Ajit. Her husband, Manish, was reportedly standing in the way of their relationship, leading to a dark and tragic decision to eliminate him.
The Day of the Murder: A Calculated Attack
On the morning of November 26, 2025, Manish traveled to his wife Kajal’s maternal home in Nizamabad, a small locality in Sitapur. While there, Kajal offered to drop him off at the nearby bus stand on her scooter, under the pretext of a routine trip. However, this was far from a simple errand. Kajal had already informed her lover, Ajit, of Manish’s whereabouts and kept him updated on her movements.
As they approached a deserted stretch near Bareikheda, Ajit, who had been waiting with another accomplice, flagged down the scooter. He had his face covered to conceal his identity, pretending to be a robber. Without warning, Ajit pulled out a sharp weapon (a “banka”) and attacked Manish in full view of Kajal. He struck multiple blows to Manish’s face and neck, leaving him severely injured.
Reports suggest, Kajal, despite being a direct witness to the brutal attack, did not intervene. After the assault, Ajit and his accomplice fled the scene, leaving Manish in a pool of blood. Kajal then rushed her husband to a nearby hospital, claiming to have been a helpless bystander. Manish was later referred to the trauma center in Lucknow, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Suspicious Statements Lead to Police Investigation
According to police, Kajal reported the attack to them, but her conflicting statements aroused suspicion. The details she provided about the incident didn’t quite add up, prompting investigators to look deeper into the case. Kajal’s story seemed inconsistent with the evidence at the crime scene. Police decided to detain Kajal for questioning, and during an intense interrogation, she eventually broke down and confessed to her role in the murder.
In her confession, Kajal revealed the details of the murder plot. She admitted that her affair with Ajit had been ongoing for months. She further disclosed that Manish, her husband, had become increasingly suspicious and obstructive to their relationship. According to Kajal, Manish’s refusal to accept her affair had pushed her to take extreme measures. Together with Ajit, they planned to eliminate him once and for all.
Key Evidence Recovered by Police
Following Kajal’s confession, the police launched a search and recovered crucial evidence from the crime scene. This included the weapon used in the attack, a sharp-edged “banka”, as well as bloodstained clothes, and two mobile phones that had been used by the suspects to coordinate the crime. Kajal’s scooter, which had been used to transport Manish to the murder site, was also seized by authorities.
