Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami Launches Development Projects Worth Rs 147 Crore in Haldwani

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 40 development projects in Haldwani, totaling an investment of Rs 147.28 crore. The event took place at the Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College.

Among these initiatives, 23 projects have already been inaugurated, accounting for an investment of Rs 72.38 crore, while the foundation was laid for 17 additional projects, amounting to Rs 74.90 crore.

Commitment to Accelerating Development

During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that these projects are crucial in enhancing the development of Nainital district. He noted that the state government is dedicated to achieving a “Developed Uttarakhand” and is continuously making progress across various sectors. Dhami underlined that several significant decisions taken by the government have served as inspirational examples for other states in the country.

Preserving Heritage While Promoting Growth

In addition to development initiatives, Dhami assured that the government remains committed to preserving the rich heritage of Uttarakhand. He highlighted that the government’s primary aim is to advance the state while maintaining its cultural integrity.

He reaffirmed the implementation of key decisions, including the Uniform Civil Code, a strict anti-copying law, and an anti-conversion law, ensuring that the state’s culture and sanctity will not be compromised.

Details of Inaugurated Projects

Among the projects inaugurated on this occasion was a 30-meter span motor bridge over the Shipra River, aimed at enhancing transportation. Additionally, a technology laboratory was inaugurated at the Government Industrial Training Institute in Haldwani.

Water supply improvements were also addressed with the construction of tube wells at multiple locations, including Kotabagh, Mahadevpuram, and Bailpadav, aimed at improving access to clean water.

Investment in Infrastructure and Community Services

Further development initiatives included the establishment of a laboratory at the Women’s College and the installation of stabilizers at tube wells in Lalkuan. The government also introduced 14 new drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with locations such as Haripur Lachhi and Kalupur Pokhariya, designed to enhance water availability in the region.

Future Plans and Initiatives

In addition to the inaugurated projects, the Chief Minister participated in the Bhoomi Pujan for the Haldwani-Kathgodam source and treatment augmentation drinking water scheme. This project has been authorized at a total estimated cost of Rs 154.43 crore, reflecting the government’s ongoing commitment to improving water infrastructure in the area.
