UP Bags ₹9,750 Crore Deals at Davos 2026, Set to Dominate Clean Energy, AI & Defence

The Uttar Pradesh government delegation, led by Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, made a strong mark at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

Coordinated by Invest UP, the state secured MoUs worth ₹9,750 crore across clean energy, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and defence manufacturing, underscoring UP’s ambition to become a future-ready, investor-friendly state.

Major MoUs with Industry Leaders

Key MoUs include:

  • SAEL Industries Ltd – ₹8,000 crore for waste-to-energy projects.

  • Sify Technologies – ₹1,600 crore for an AI-ready data centre and AI City in Noida.

  • Yeoman – ₹150 crore for defence manufacturing and weapons system integration.

These partnerships are expected to accelerate technology-enabled governance, sustainable development, and large-scale job creation, while boosting the state’s global competitiveness.

High-Level Engagements with Global Corporates

The UP delegation held strategic meetings with global and Indian corporates, including Uber Technologies, Automation Anywhere, PepsiCo, HCL Software, Google Cloud, Deloitte South Asia, Greenko, and others. A highlight was the discussion with Neeraj Agarwal, founder of Carbon Compass and former NASA scientist, on climate innovation and sustainability-focused investment opportunities.

Uber Explores Mobility & Investment Opportunities

A key discussion with Uber focused on expanding investments and exploring a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida. With 1.5 lakh vehicles operating across the state, Uber highlighted opportunities in tourism, last-mile connectivity, and innovative mobility solutions aligned with UP’s progressive policy framework.

Future-Ready Growth Vision

Uttar Pradesh’s engagements emphasized its robust policy ecosystem, infrastructure readiness, and commitment to innovation-led development. The Davos interactions are expected to pave the way for transformative global partnerships across sectors like renewable energy, digital transformation, automation, and food processing, positioning UP as a leading destination for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
