UP Govt Doctor Caught Dancing in Hospital Room With Fiancée! Removed From Duty

The CSR Journal Magazine

A government doctor posted at the Kandhla Community Health Centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district has been removed from emergency duty after a video of him dancing with his fiancée inside a hospital room went viral.

The clip, widely shared on social media, shows Dr. Waqar (also reported as Afkar) Siddiqui celebrating his engagement by dancing to the song “Dum Dum Dum Mast Hai” in a private room on the upper floor of the facility.

Hospital Administration Takes Action

The video triggered strong reactions online, with many questioning the use of a government hospital’s duty room for personal celebrations. In response, Medical Officer Dr. Virendra Singh immediately issued a notice to Siddiqui, seeking clarification.

When the doctor failed to provide a convincing explanation, the administration moved swiftly: he was removed from emergency duties, and his government-allotted accommodation was vacated. A detailed report documenting the incident and the disciplinary steps taken has been forwarded to senior officials in the state health department for further action.

Commenting on the matter, Medical Officer Virendra Singh said, “Such behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any government facility. Appropriate action has been taken, and the matter has been escalated for further departmental review.”

Officials Condemn the Behaviour

Speaking on the matter, Dr. Singh stated that such conduct is inappropriate within any government health facility. “This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Appropriate action has been taken, and the case has been escalated for departmental review,” he said.

Officials termed the incident a clear violation of hospital decorum and protocol, especially in a public institution that continues to struggle with a shortage of doctors.

Staff and Locals Express Concern

The episode has sparked widespread discussion among hospital staff and residents of Shamli. Many expressed concern over the lack of professionalism displayed at a time when public hospitals already face scrutiny for service quality and resource shortages. Locals criticised the misuse of a patient-care space for personal activities, emphasising that government facilities must maintain discipline and integrity.
