A UK court has approved the extradition of Ajith Kumar Mupparapu, a pharmacist based in the UK, who is wanted in India for alleged involvement in criminal activities targeting his ex-wife’s family in Hyderabad. District Judge John Zani determined that Mupparapu has a case to answer and can be sent to India, citing assurances regarding his treatment in judicial custody there. Mupparapu, 46 years old, holds British citizenship but has Indian origins. He faces serious charges, including murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. These allegations are reportedly linked to a series of incidents that took place in 2023, following the filing of a divorce by his ex-wife, Sirisha Muttavarapu.

Additionally, the third allegation involves Mupparapu reportedly attempting to hire contract killers in India to eliminate his father-in-law. The fourth incident concerns the hiring of co-conspirators to orchestrate a murder disguised as a road accident. Tragically, Sirisha Muttavarapu’s mother allegedly died as a result of arsenic poisoning in July 2023, prompting the authorities in Telangana to seek Mupparapu’s extradition as part of their investigation into her untimely death.
