Anil Pandit Emerges as Bishnoi Gang’s New Face Targeting Bollywood

The CSR Journal Magazine

Anil Pandit has emerged as a significant figure in a series of violent incidents involving threats against Bollywood celebrities. These incidents include a shooting outside a money-exchange office in Panipat, Haryana, in March, another outside a gym in Delhi in June, and a recent attack targeting actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai on October 18. All these events have been linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which Pandit is reportedly associated with.

The shooting in Mumbai saw Shroff escape unharmed, but his driver sustained injuries. Following this incident, an audio recording surfaced in which a man claiming to be Pandit warned Bollywood stars against collaborating with actor Salman Khan. The phrase “Sabka number aayega,” which translates to “Everyone’s turn will come”, was used as a direct threat to the film industry.

Investigators have noted that Pandit allegedly operates from the United States, and his name has repeatedly surfaced in connection with various threatening messages directed at celebrities. In March, a social media post attributed to him and another gang member claimed responsibility for the Panipat shooting and included threats against rapper Badshah.

Details of Previous Incidents

The initial incident linked to Pandit occurred on March 14, 2026, when three assailants fired shots at Haast Forex, a money-exchange office in Panipat. At the time, three individuals were inside the establishment, but fortunately, no one was injured. A subsequent social media message from Pandit and Randeep Malik claimed responsibility and accused the forex office of engaging in illegal hawala transactions.

This message also threatened rapper Badshah, alleging that he had previously ignored warnings regarding his conduct. The police investigation led to the arrest of several suspects, including one individual believed to have facilitated communication between the shooters and their overseas handlers.

In June, another shooting incident occurred outside the gym of singer Guru Randhawa in New Delhi. Two masked assailants fired multiple rounds, but again, no injuries were reported. Pandit allegedly took responsibility for this attack through a Facebook post, claiming Randhawa had not heeded previous warnings. Following this incident, four suspects were arrested, and police linked them to Pandit and another overseas gang member.

Ongoing Investigations and Allegations

The investigation into Pandit’s activities has revealed a network of individuals allegedly receiving instructions, firearms, and financial support from abroad. On July 12, Delhi Police arrested three suspects connected to a plot to extort local businessmen, with Pandit named as the suspected supplier of illegal firearms.

In September, a shooting incident involving Haryanvi singer Diler Kharkiya further highlighted Pandit’s alleged involvement. An assailant fired at Kharkiya’s vehicle while it was parked outside his farmhouse. Investigators are examining the connections to Pandit’s network, which has been linked to multiple violent incidents across India.

The recent shooting targeting Tiger Shroff has intensified scrutiny on how individuals operating from overseas can orchestrate violent acts within India. As investigations continue, authorities are working to ascertain the full extent of Pandit’s role in these incidents, as well as the operational capabilities of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
