A 25-year-old individual named Kolipaka Manohar has been taken into custody in Medchal-Malkajgiri district of Telangana after being accused of injecting his HIV-positive blood into a woman who declined his marriage proposal. The local police reported that the incident occurred on March 14, leading the victim’s father, Chiranjeevi, to file a formal complaint.

Details of the Arrest

According to police officials, Manohar was apprehended on March 15 at around 1 PM near NTPC X Road in Annojiguda. He is currently facing serious charges under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code, categorized as Attempt to Murder. The police stated that the accused forcibly injected his blood into the victim’s body at her residence with the purported intention to kill her.

Police Investigation and Charges

The Pocharam Police have registered a case against Manohar immediately following the incident. A law enforcement representative detailed the circumstances: “We received a complaint and were promptly dispatched to the location, where we have initiated an investigation into the matter.” The accused has been placed in judicial remand as further inquiries continue.

Previous Violent Incident in the Area

This case follows a separate violent incident last month, wherein a man was arrested for allegedly murdering his ex-wife in an apartment located in Green City Colony, Rangareddy district. Reports suggest that the victim had divorced her husband and subsequently remarried, which provoked a violent reaction from him. In this instance, police have confirmed they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding that case as well.
