Tawang To Host 14th International Tourism Mart From October 29-31

The Union Ministry of Tourism and the government of Arunachal Pradesh are collaborating to organise the 14th International Tourism Mart in Tawang from October 29 to 31. This annual event aims to showcase the tourism potential of the North Eastern Region, which is often referred to as the “Ashta Lakshmi” of India. The Ministry has indicated that participants will include tour operators and influencers from twenty-seven countries, highlighting a significant international interest.

According to announcements made by the Ministry, tour operators from various nations including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka are expected to attend. Additionally, representatives from countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Nepal, Germany, France, Russia, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, the UAE, and the Netherlands have also been invited. The participation of domestic stakeholders is integral to the event, contributing to the overall depth of interactions.

The Ministry has stressed that participation is subject to confirmation. This aspect reflects the significance of the event, which aims to attract not only international tourists but also local investors and travel trade representatives, thus fostering a diverse and enriching environment for discussions on tourism potential.
