Skoda Launches Facelifted Slavia in India Priced at Rs 9.99 Lakh

The CSR Journal Magazine

Skoda Auto India has officially introduced the refreshed Slavia sedan, commencing at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customer deliveries are set to begin next week. The updated version features notable design improvements, enhanced features, and a new eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission for the 1.0-litre TSI engine, expanding the options available to buyers.

The facelift version maintains its recognizable sedan shape but incorporates several exterior modifications. New LED headlamps and taillamps are part of the update, with the taillamps featuring sequential turn indicators. A revised grille now includes a horizontal chrome strip, while both the front and rear sections of the vehicle have undergone enhancements. The design also includes updated alloy wheel styles, contributing to the car’s modern appearance.

The Monte Carlo variant has been given a sportier appearance with distinctive black exterior accents, red detailing, and exclusive Monte Carlo badging. The Slavia is offered in a variety of colours, including Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Cherry Red, Shimla Green, and Steel Grey. Two additional colours, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, are expected to be available, with deliveries of Cappuccino Beige slated to begin in December 2026.

Interior Enhancements and Technology Features

Significant upgrades have been made to the interior of the Slavia, focusing on technology and passenger comfort. Higher trim levels feature a 25.6cm touchscreen infotainment system equipped with a redesigned interface, while the premium versions offer a larger 26.03cm digital cockpit. The infotainment system supports wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and includes built-in connectivity features.

One of the standout features is an AI-powered voice assistant developed with Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent, allowing users to obtain real-time information and control functions such as music playback, phone calls, and climate settings via voice commands. Furthermore, the Prestige and Monte Carlo trims offer a segment-first rear-seat massage function for enhanced comfort.

Additional prominent features in the updated Slavia include ventilated, electrically adjustable front seats, a 360-degree Area View camera, and Park Pilot with front and rear parking sensors, all contributing to a modernised driving experience.

Engine Options and Safety Features

The Slavia continues to be equipped with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The 1.0 TSI is available with a six-speed manual transmission as well as the newly introduced eight-speed torque converter automatic, marking a first for this segment. The more powerful 1.5 TSI engine is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and comes equipped in the Prestige variant and above, featuring rear disc brakes for enhanced stopping power.

In terms of safety, the updated Slavia retains its five-star Global NCAP safety rating for adult and child occupant protection. Six airbags, along with over 25 active and passive safety features, are standard across all variants. Higher variants boast an even more extensive suite of safety features, including a rear defogger, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lamps, and auto-dimming rear-view mirrors.

The entry-level Classic variant is equipped with six airbags, more than 25 safety features, automatic climate control, and a 17.7cm touchscreen infotainment system. Each subsequent variant adds various features, culminating with the Monte Carlo, which includes black exterior elements, distinctive red detailing, and a premium alloy wheel design.

Ownership Package and Conclusion

Skoda is offering the updated Slavia with its Super Care ownership package, which includes a four-year or 1,00,000km warranty, four years of roadside assistance, and up to two years or 30,000km of labour-free services. The warranty can be extended for an additional two years, while customers will also receive a six-year corrosion warranty and a three-year paint warranty.

The facelift of the Slavia focuses primarily on enhanced features rather than major mechanical overhauls. The addition of the eight-speed automatic transmission for the 1.0 TSI engine, the rear-seat massage option, a 360-degree camera, and an AI-enabled infotainment system enrich the overall equipment package, while the existing petrol engines remain unchanged.
