The Vivo X500 series has been officially launched globally following its introduction in China on September 21. This new flagship lineup consists of three models: the standard Vivo X500, the X500 Pro, and the X500 Pro Max. The global unveiling took place at an event held in the Canary Islands, Spain, marking a significant step in Vivo’s expansion into international markets.

These smartphones feature notable upgrades, including enhanced camera systems, high-refresh-rate displays, and larger battery capacities. The X500 Pro Max, positioned as the premium offering, boasts a 200-megapixel periscope camera and the capability to record videos in 8K resolution. This advancement in camera technology is aimed at appealing to photography enthusiasts and content creators.

Indian consumers can anticipate the arrival of the Vivo X500 series by the end of November. However, Vivo has yet to provide official confirmation regarding the exact launch date or pricing details for the Indian market.

Specifications and Features of Vivo X500 Series

The Vivo X500 series showcases impressive display specifications. The X500 Pro features a 6.36-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display, while the X500 Pro Max is equipped with a larger 6.85-inch screen. Both models support a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. The standard Vivo X500 offers a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, also with a 144Hz refresh rate, catering to users who prioritise display quality.

Under the hood, the X500 Pro and Pro Max are powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, while the standard X500 utilises the Dimensity 9600M, which is reportedly a rebranded version of the Dimensity 9500. This combination of hardware is designed to enhance performance and efficiency in various applications.

Camera capabilities are a highlight of the series. The X500 Pro Max features a 50-megapixel main camera alongside a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. In contrast, the X500 Pro is equipped with a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. Both models also include a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and support an optional Zeiss telephoto extender with a 400mm-equivalent focal length, providing users with versatile photography options.

Battery life is another significant aspect, with the standard Vivo X500 housing a 7,500mAh battery. The X500 Pro features a 6,510mAh battery, while the X500 Pro Max offers an 8,000mAh battery in China, though these capacities may vary in other markets. All three models support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, ensuring quick power replenishment.

Pricing and Availability of Vivo X500 Series

The pricing for the Vivo X500 series varies by model and storage configuration. The Vivo X500 Pro is priced at EUR 1,399 (approximately Rs 1.48 lakh) for the 256GB variant. The X500 Pro Max starts at EUR 1,599 (around Rs 1.69 lakh) for the 256GB model, while the 512GB version is priced at EUR 1,799 (about Rs 1.9 lakh). The top-tier 1TB variant is available for EUR 2,199 (approximately Rs 2.33 lakh) and can be purchased exclusively through Vivo’s online store in Europe.

The standard Vivo X500 has not yet launched in Europe but is available in select Southeast Asian markets, including Malaysia. In Malaysia, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant starts at MYR 4,699 (around Rs 1.09 lakh), while the 512GB variant is priced at MYR 5,299 (around Rs 1.23 lakh).

Vivo is currently offering pre-order promotions in Europe, which will run until November 30. Customers purchasing the X500 Pro Max will receive a complimentary camera grip, while buyers of the Pro model will receive Headphone Studio headphones. Discounts on selected accessories and wearables are also part of the promotional campaign. As for the Indian market, further details regarding pricing and availability are expected to be announced closer to the anticipated launch later in November.
