A major search operation is being carried out to capture the terrorists involved in the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Amidst this, a woman in Kathua district claimed that she had seen the terrorists involved in the attack. The claims of the women have stirred a debate online.
Following this, the security forces have started a massive man-hunt search operation in Kathua district. According to reports, the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrived at the spot. The police force have simultaneously begun a search operation in the area.
Door-to-door Operation
According to reports, a door-to-door intense search operation has been launched in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. It has been alleged that the four accused were spotted. In addition to this, search operations are also being conducted in Pulwama and Baramulla regions of Jammu and Kashmir. All these operations are being carried out to find the terrorists.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that every criminal involved in the Pahalgam terrorist attack should be searched. He said that the attackers will have to pay a heavy price for this cowardly act.
Review meeting
The Lieutenant Governor held a security review meeting with top military officials including Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. The meeting lasted for about an hour. During the meeting the Lieutenant Governor asked the Army Chief to take effective steps to bring those responsible for the Pahalgam terrorist attack to justice.
LeT commander Altaf Lalli killed
Meanwhile, in a major success the top LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) commander identified as Altaf Lalli has allegedly been killed in Bandipora area of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. A search operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bandipora as well.
The Phalgan Terror attack is the most devastating incident in Jammu and Kashmir since the 2019 Pulwama attack. One of the worst attacks on civilians in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370. The incident took place at the Pahalgam’s Baisaran meadows in Anantnag district on Tuesday.
