A tragic incident in Karnataka has led to the arrest of a 65-year-old retired employee of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Nageshwar Rao, who is alleged to have killed his wife, Sandya Sri, at their home on Wednesday morning. The police were notified of the situation around 11 AM in the jurisdiction of the Avalahalli police station. Following the incident, Rao was taken into custody by law enforcement officials.

Authorities revealed that Rao reportedly strangled his wife using a towel within their residence. After the alleged attack, he chose to remain at the location and made contact with an acquaintance, who subsequently informed the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Whitefield area, Saidulu Adavath, indicated that the accused was undergoing treatment for depression and appeared to have been experiencing significant distress. Reports suggest that Rao allegedly had intentions of ending his own life following the incident.
