The CSR Journal Magazine

In a recent Instagram Live session on ARKS’ official account, Ranbir Kapoor engaged with fans to discuss various topics, including the much-anticipated sequel to his 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Coinciding with Valentine’s Day, the actor reflected on the film’s lasting popularity, acknowledging that it continues to be a topic of conversation a decade after its release.

No Sequel Plans, But Similar Stories Possible

During the session, Kapoor was direct in addressing the chances of a sequel to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, stating that there are currently no plans for a follow-up. He remarked, “A lot of you guys want part 2, but there are so many new movies, new directors, and new ideas to work with. I think Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had the perfect end. So it won’t have a part 2.” Despite this clarity, he reassured fans by indicating a willingness to explore similar narratives in future projects. “But maybe another film would come, of a similar genre, which you guys would enjoy too,” he added.

Updates on Love & War and Other Big Projects

Kapoor’s comments were received positively by the audience, who continue to celebrate the success and impact of the original film. The actor further provided updates on his forthcoming projects, mentioning his work in Love & War, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Originally scheduled for a release in August 2026, this film has reportedly faced delays. Kapoor explained that large-scale projects like Love & War and Ramayana require additional time for completion due to their ambitious scope.

Brahmastra 2 and Animal Park Timeline Revealed

Additionally, Kapoor shared that work on Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, directed by Ayan Mukerji, might commence sooner than initially expected, indicating that fans could see developments in his film schedule more rapidly than anticipated. He also noted that Animal Park, a sequel to the original Animal by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is projected to start filming around the middle of next year, offering fans a clearer timeline for upcoming releases.

Praising Ranveer Singh and Wrapping Up the Session

Before concluding the session, Kapoor took a moment to acknowledge the achievements of his fellow actors, particularly praising Ranveer Singh for his recent performance in the film Dhurandhar. The session highlighted Kapoor’s ongoing engagement with his fan base while providing insights into his career trajectory and future projects.
