“No Shortage of Fuels in Uttar Pradesh”: CM Yogi Adityanath Addresses Concerns Over Gas Supplies

The CSR Journal Magazine

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, convened a meeting with officials to discuss the state’s fuel supply situation. During this meeting, he reassured the public that there is an adequate supply of diesel, petrol, and cooking gas, urging citizens to dismiss any rumors about shortages. Adityanath emphasized the importance of maintaining a smooth supply chain and directed officials to continuously monitor the availability of gas cylinders and essential food items throughout the state.

Government Ensures Smooth Supply Amidst Speculations

The Chief Minister was informed by officials that the gas supply system is functioning efficiently with no existing shortages. To mitigate concerns, Adityanath instructed that the distribution system be closely monitored to prevent any public inconvenience. In a message posted on X, he stated, “There is no shortage of diesel-petrol in Uttar Pradesh. Avoid rumours related to shortage of cooking gas.” This proactive approach aims to reassure residents in light of any circulating misinformation.

Strict Action Against Malpractices

Yogi Adityanath warned that any distributors or individuals found engaging in black marketing or hoarding of fuel would face immediate legal action, including the filing of FIRs. He emphasized that the government is dedicated to ensuring public convenience and addressing the needs of citizens promptly. The Chief Minister advised caution against spreading panic and stressed the importance of timely distribution of essential supplies.

Promotion of Alternative Fuels

In addition to addressing immediate supply concerns, Adityanath also encouraged the exploration of alternative fuel sources. He communicated with various establishments, including hotels, hospitals, and religious places, to promote the use of alternative energy options. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance energy security within the state.

Enhanced Monitoring and Security Measures

The Chief Minister directed the Food and Logistics Department to establish control rooms that will operate around the clock in every district. Police personnel are to be deployed at LPG distribution centers to ensure order during the distribution process. This measure is aimed at maintaining a safe and efficient supply of cooking gas amidst heightened concerns regarding energy availability.

Union Minister Reassures National Energy Supply Stability

In a related update, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, reassured the nation in Parliament regarding the security of India’s energy supplies, despite challenges presented by the ongoing conflict in West Asia and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. He confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation turbine fuel, or fuel oil, and that fuel supply chains are operating normally across the country.

Call for Responsible Communication

Puri urged the public to avoid spreading rumors about fuel shortages, especially during these challenging times marked by significant global energy disruptions. He highlighted that crude supply continues to flow and that priority is being given to domestic gas usage for homes and agricultural purposes. The minister noted that LPG production has increased by 28% to meet growing demands and secure the availability of essential fuels.
