Nissan Achieves 23% Sales Growth in February 2026; Gravite Deliveries Begin

The CSR Journal Magazine

Nissan Motor India has announced a significant year-on-year growth of 23% during February 2026, with total sales reaching 10,565 units in both domestic and export markets. The company’s domestic wholesales amounted to 2,230 units for the month, while exports contributed 8,335 units, highlighting India’s increasing role as a pivotal manufacturing and export base for the carmaker.

Launch of the Nissan Gravite Marks a New Phase

February 2026 also marked a critical milestone for Nissan in India with the introduction of the all-new Nissan Gravite. Following what the company referred to as an exceptional market response and strong booking momentum across various regions, the commencement of customer deliveries for the Gravite began on March 1, 2026. This launch is viewed as a key step in what Nissan describes as the next phase of its growth trajectory in the Indian market.

Emphasis on Customized Product Strategy

Nissan’s growth strategy in India is said to be bolstered by a product portfolio tailored to meet local consumer preferences, enhanced dealer confidence, and an increased focus on expanding its market presence. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., characterized February as a “significant and forward-looking month” for the company. He noted that the consolidated performance reflects stable underlying demand and steady export strength, which underlines India’s strategic importance within Nissan’s global framework.

Positive Customer Response Fuels Confidence

Vatsa added that the launch of the Nissan Gravite has elicited an encouraging response from customers, dealers, and partners alike, expressing optimism that the onset of deliveries in March would lead to enhanced market momentum in subsequent months. The figures from February illustrate Nissan’s ongoing recovery and growth in the Indian market, supported by a fortified product lineup and an expanded network of dealerships.

Continued Growth Fostered by Existing Models

In addition to the newly launched Gravite, the sustained interest in the Nissan Magnite has played a significant role in supporting growth across both domestic and export segments. Nissan’s commitment to improving customer experience, increasing accessibility, and strengthening its presence in both domestic and international markets suggests that the company is well-positioned to continue building on its current positive trajectory in the upcoming months.
