NEET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment Results Released

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the outcome of the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment. Candidates who have been allocated seats for MBBS, BDS, or other eligible programmes can now access their specific college and course details via the MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in. This announcement marks a significant step in the admission process for aspiring medical students.

Reporting and Verification Requirements

Following the allotment, candidates have until August 31, 2026, to physically report to their respective colleges. At the allotted institutions, candidates will undergo a verification process scheduled for September 1, 2026. It is crucial for candidates to adhere to this timeline to ensure successful admission.

To verify their Round 1 seat allotment results, candidates should follow a structured procedure. First, they should visit the MCC website and navigate to the UG Medical Counselling section. Finding the link for the Round 1 final allotment result will allow candidates to download and review their allotted rank, college, and course. Furthermore, candidates must log in to the MCC candidate portal to download their seat allotment letters and carefully read through the admission instructions provided.

The MCC is responsible for conducting counselling for various seats, including the 15% All India Quota, AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, deemed universities, and additional participating institutions. Hence, it is essential for candidates to remain updated regarding their respective counselling processes.

Option Selection for Allotted Seats

This year, the MCC has introduced a new Freeze and Float system for candidates. If a candidate is satisfied with the assigned seat and does not wish to pursue an upgrade in subsequent rounds, they should select the Freeze option. This choice requires them to visit the allotted college in person to complete the necessary document verification and admission processes.

On the other hand, if a candidate opts for the Float option, they can retain their allotted seat while also seeking a better option in the next round. Those choosing the Float option can complete their document verification online, meaning they are not obliged to visit the college at this stage. This flexibility has been designed to accommodate candidates’ preferences during the counselling process.

Required Documentation for Admission

As candidates prepare for the admission process, it is imperative to gather necessary documentation. Essential documents include the NEET scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 certificates, identity proof, photographs, and any applicable category or disability certificates. This documentation will facilitate a smooth admission process.

The MCC has also launched an online resignation facility for eligible candidates. This enables candidates to surrender their allotted seats via the counselling portal, provided they adhere to the prescribed rules and deadlines. It is advisable for candidates to pay close attention to the latest MCC schedule and information bulletin, as there have been multiple revisions to the Round 1 timeline.

In summary, with the release of the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment results, candidates are urged to act promptly by reporting to their colleges and completing the required admission formalities. Compliance with the established deadlines and procedures will ensure a successful transition into their chosen medical programmes.
