MG Motor India has announced a price revision for the Hector Tomahawk EV, with an increase of up to Rs 75,800. The new pricing places the electric SUV between Rs 20.24 lakh and Rs 24.24 lakh, depending on the variant selected. The entry-level Excite seven-seater variant has experienced the most significant price hike, moving from Rs 19.49 lakh to Rs 20.24 lakh.

The Hector Tomahawk EV is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, with configurations for both five and seven seats. The price adjustments apply uniformly across the seven-seater configurations of the Exclusive and Essence variants, which have also increased by Rs 75,800.

To summarise the new pricing structure: the Excite seven-seater is now priced at Rs 20.24 lakh, the Exclusive seven-seater at Rs 22.74 lakh, the Essence five-seater at Rs 23.74 lakh, and the Essence seven-seater at Rs 24.24 lakh. All figures are ex-showroom prices.

Specifications and Features of Hector Tomahawk EV

The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is the first vehicle built on the company’s Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT). It features a 69.2kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor. This setup delivers a power output of 204bhp and a torque of 310Nm, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 8.2 seconds.

According to MG, the Hector Tomahawk EV has a MIDC-certified range of 517 kilometres. The vehicle supports 90kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30 to 80 per cent in approximately 35 minutes. For those using a 7.4kW AC charger, a full charge from 10 to 100 per cent takes about 12.5 hours.

Price Changes for MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV, MG’s plug-in hybrid variant, has also seen a price increase, albeit a smaller one of Rs 800. The new prices for the PHEV range from Rs 25.69 lakh to Rs 27.79 lakh, depending on the variant. Both the Exclusive and Essence variants are available exclusively in a seven-seat configuration.

The Exclusive variant is now priced at Rs 25.69 lakh, while the Essence variant is available for Rs 27.79 lakh. These adjustments reflect the company’s strategy to align pricing with market trends and consumer expectations.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with an electric motor and a 20.5kWh battery pack. The petrol engine generates 102bhp and 125Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 201bhp and 237Nm. This hybrid system is paired with a dedicated transmission designed for hybrid vehicles.

MG claims that the PHEV offers an all-electric range exceeding 115 kilometres and a combined range of over 1,100 kilometres when both the battery and fuel tank are fully charged. The vehicle supports six different driving modes, including Pure EV and Series Hybrid, catering to various driving preferences and conditions.
