A shocking case of animal cruelty has come to light from Mumbra, near Mumbai, where a man mercilessly killed a stray dog and was later seen casually handling one of its eyes on the roadside. This unsettling incident took place on Tuesday evening, according to police sources.

Witnesses described how the accused attacked the stray dog in broad daylight, gouging out one of its eyes. The man was then spotted playing with the eye beside the dog’s dead body as horrified onlookers looked on. Several videos showing the incident have rapidly spread across social media platforms, sparking widespread outrage.

Animal Welfare Groups Demand Action; Case Filed for Dog Cruelty

Disturbed by the cruel act, concerned citizens immediately informed the local police. Animal welfare organisations also got involved, visiting the police station to demand that strict legal measures be taken against the accused.

The police have registered a case under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with causing grievous harm, alongside charges under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Authorities are actively investigating the matter and have assured the public that justice will be served.
