Maharashtra Row Deepens Over Remarks Linking Ajit Pawar Plane Crash to Conspiracy Theories

The CSR Journal Magazine

A significant controversy has emerged in Maharashtra following comments made by a prominent leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, who raised questions regarding the nature of an aircraft incident associated with Ajit Pawar. During a gathering in Akola district, NCP MLC Amol Mitkari drew parallels between this incident and the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, thus setting the stage for a heated political debate. Mitkari challenged attendees by asking if the crash was merely an accident or if it concealed a deeper conspiracy. His remarks included an unsettling comparison to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the group responsible for Gandhi’s assassination in 1991, which further fueled concerns regarding the incident. “Was Captain Sumit Kapoor flying the aircraft as a suicide bomber?” he questioned, prompting a wave of speculation.

Doubts Raised About Pilot’s Death

Mitkari did not stop at conspiracy theories; he also expressed skepticism regarding the death of Captain Sumit Kapoor in the crash. Referring to statements reportedly made by Kapoor’s wife, he asked, “If his wife says he is alive, then who died in that accident?” This comment highlighted lingering concerns surrounding the incident. Mitkari called attention to the absence of public discourse about the situation, stating, “When there is such a big mystery linked to Ajit Pawar, how is Maharashtra so calm?” He underscored the idea that technical findings alone would not resolve the unfolding mystery, emphasizing that public access to critical data is essential.

Demand for CCTV Footage

In his speech, Mitkari further sought clarity regarding the roles of other pilots associated with the flight in question. He posed inquiries about Captain Sahil Madan and Captain Yash, who had prior responsibilities for the aircraft, questioning their whereabouts at the time of the incident. “What traffic were they stuck in? Where is their CCTV movement footage? Where are they now? This should be made public,” he insisted. Mitkari pressed for a comprehensive investigation that would go beyond mere technical reports, demanding transparency through the release of visual evidence related to the incident.

Political Tensions Escalate

The comments made by Mitkari have significantly heightened political tensions in Maharashtra, a region currently grappling with sensitive issues. His statements have sparked discussions across various political factions, particularly within the Nationalist Congress Party. In a poignant moment in his address, Mitkari expressed that “Ajit Pawar could have emerged as the greatest Chief Minister representing Shiv ideology for Maharashtra,” further emphasizing the conflicted political atmosphere. Presently, there has been no formal response from either the administration or investigating authorities regarding Mitkari’s assertions. Nevertheless, the questions and theories arising from the incident have taken on a life of their own, leading to discussions that extend beyond the confines of Akola and into the broader political landscape of Maharashtra.
