In a recent development regarding a viral video featuring a Lamborghini performing stunts in Bengaluru, the legal representative of Ricky Rai, the son of deceased underworld don Muthappa Rai, has asserted that his client was not behind the wheel. The footage, which surfaced online, depicts the luxury vehicle executing rapid turns and drifts at Anil Kumble Circle during the early hours of Sunday, hours between 2 AM and 3 AM. The video raised concerns for public safety as occupants were seen partially emerging from the sunroof, yelling as the car circled the area.

Legal Defense Claims Misunderstanding

Advocate Narayan Swamy, representing Ricky Rai, stated, “Firstly, there was no nuisance. There were no people on the road. Many claimed Ricky Rai was driving. But he wasn’t driving. The driver was.” Although Swamy confirmed that Rai was present in the vehicle, he clarified that the driver lost control of the car momentarily due to braking on the newly constructed road, insisting that the vehicle was skidding rather than drifting. He emphasized that the driver managed to regain control shortly after the incident.

Police Response and Legal Actions Taken

Following the incident, Bengaluru traffic police acted swiftly by seizing the Lamborghini and summoning Rai for questioning, based on the vehicle’s documentation linking it to his residence. Additionally, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the car’s registered owner, citing charges of rash and negligent driving along with endangering public safety. The legal proceedings are expected to unfold as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the event and assess the validity of the claims made by Rai’s defense.
