Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana have emerged victorious in ‘The Traitors’ Season 2, sharing a cash prize of Rs 66 lakh. Their win came during an intense finale where both contestants opted to remain loyal to each other until the final moments of the competition. Notably, Krystle declined the opportunity to eliminate Rida, a move that would have secured her the entire prize money.

Dramatic Finale Unfolds

The finale commenced with a pivotal moment when Mallika Sherawat was the last Innocent to be eliminated from the game. This left five contestants in play: Krystle, Rida, Shalini Passi, Sahil Salathia, and Dalip Tahil. Following this, the contestants participated in the Circle of Shaq, leading to Dalip’s exit. Under the rules, he was not required to disclose his allegiance as either an Innocent or a Traitor.

As the competition continued, the final four contestants—Krystle, Rida, Shalini, and Sahil—advanced to the stage named ‘Shak aur Bharosa’. Here, trust and intrigue were essential in determining the ultimate finalists. Sahil was eliminated first, followed by Shalini, which set the stage for Krystle and Rida to vie for the title.

One particularly significant twist arose when Krystle had the chance to vote Rida out, after Shalini cast her vote against her. By doing so, Krystle could have guaranteed her position as the sole Traitor and claimed the entire prize. However, she chose to remain loyal to Rida, commenting light-heartedly that Rida was the ‘Worst Traitor’.

Reactions and Revelations

Krystle’s journey in ‘The Traitors’ was particularly noteworthy. She began as one of the original Traitors and successfully navigated the game despite her fellow Traitors being systematically exposed. Throughout the season, she faced scepticism, but consistently proved her capability, even jokingly referring to herself as having nine lives on the show.

Meanwhile, Rida had initially entered the competition as an Innocent and managed to avoid being a target for extended periods. She successfully deduced that Kullu was a Traitor, thereby gaining the confidence of her fellow Innocents. Upon becoming a Traitor herself, she faced challenging moments that threatened to reveal her identity.

‘The Traitors’ Season 2 was hosted by Karan Johar and premiered on Prime Video on August 13, featuring an array of contestants including Shweta Tiwari, Munawar Faruqui, Rhea Chakraborty, Ansh Chopra, Prish, Shehneel Gill, Ranveer Brar, Karan Magic, Parul Gulati, Abhishek Malhan, and Harman Sangha, among others.
