Khalistani Terrorist Harpreet Singh Arrested in US, to Be Extradited to India

The man behind the 16 terror attacks in Punjab and US, Khalistani terrorist Harpreet Singh, resident of Amritsar, Punjab, is also known as Happy Passia, was arrested in April at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is being sent to India soon, sources have confirmed. He allegedly has connections with Pakistan’s ISI and Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

Commenting on his arrest, the FBI Director Kash Patel shared that ‘Justice will be done’. Sharing other information on X, he said, “We have captured Harpreet Singh, he is a part of an alleged foreign terrorist gang here illegally in the United States, who we believe was involved in planning multiple attacks on police stations both in India and the United States,” he further added, “FBI Sacramento conducted the investigation coordinating with our partners locally as well as in India. Excellent work from all, and justice will be done. The FBI will continue finding those who perpetrate violence — no matter where they are.”

In January, NIA (National Investigation Agency), an Indian anti-terror agency, announced a Rs 5 Lakh bounty on Harpreet alias Happy. A search operation was underway since October last year in connection with a hand grenade attack in Chandigarh.

As per the details shared by sources about Harpreet Singh, in his early days he was a small liquor smuggler and after he met and became friends with some gangsters like Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, he learnt grenade usage, and later he was known as an expert in grenade attacks. A case of grenade attack on the residence of a policeman is registered.

He had visited Dubai in 2018, and there he came in contact with some criminals and masterminds of terrorists in Pakistan, then after he returned to India in 2019, he continued the grenade attacks.

Two years after his notorious activities in India, he reached the US in 2021 through a donkey route.

In 2021, he reached the US via the donkey route and started living with Bhagwanpuria’s henchmen Dharman Kahlon and Amrit Bal. Later, he came in touch with a terrorist from Pakistan, Harvinder Singh Rinda, and then later became a member of a banned terror outfit, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
