Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel celebrated Holi in Ahmedabad

On March 3, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel partook in the Holi Dahan festivities in Memnagar, Ahmedabad. The event was celebrated with enthusiasm among the citizens as he engaged in the traditional Vedic Holi Dahan at Manav Mandir. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and offered prayers for the welfare and prosperity of the residents. He highlighted that the festival represents the triumph of truth over falsehood and serves as a celebration of harmony and inclusiveness.

Message for Eco-Friendly Celebrations

During his address, Bhupendra Patel urged the public to celebrate Holi in an environmentally friendly manner. He commended the efforts of those organizing the Vedic Holi, recognizing their commitment to promoting ecological awareness. The Chief Minister’s remarks reinforced the notion of Holi as a time for setting aside differences, fostering affectionate interactions, and enhancing social unity.

Prayer and Community Engagement

Following the Holi Dahan ceremony, Patel visited Manav Mandir to offer his prayers, expressing a sense of divine blessing. He also greeted the attendees, consisting of devotees and local residents, fostering a spirit of community engagement during the celebrations. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Devangbhai Dani, Chairman of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Standing Committee, Dharamshibhai Desai, Chairman of AMTS, various municipal officials, local council members, and a notable number of attendees from the local community.

Holi Celebrations Across India

Concurrent to the celebrations in Gujarat, other political leaders across the nation also marked the occasion with traditional festivities. In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted the Holi puja at his official residence in Civil Lines, Jaipur, around midnight. His prayers were aimed at ensuring continued happiness and prosperity for the state’s residents. As per reports, he performed the Holi puja at the Shri Raj Rajeshwari Temple, where he also participated in the Holika Dahan alongside chanting of Vedic mantras.

Engagement with Local Security Forces

During the Rajasthan ceremony, members of the Rajasthan Police’s RAC Battalion performed traditional Holi songs and danced to the beats of the Chang. The Chief Minister utilized this opportunity to interact with the soldiers, offering encouragement and celebrating their presence in the spirit of the festival. This gesture highlights the importance of community and the role of security forces in maintaining peace during festive occasions.
