CIDCO has undertaken the work of development of International Educity at Kundevahal, Tal. Panvel, Navi Mumbai on an area of approximately 100 hectare under its Centre of Excellence (COE) project. The COE is an ambitious state-of-the-art facility envisaged and being developed by CIDCO & is primarily oriented towards developing an integrated healthcare, education, Sports complex of International Standards and skilling hub.

Global Education Hub

The project will facilitate Navi Mumbai to emerge as the Global Education Hub along with opening the doors of world-class education to Indian students. The land development work for the project has been speeded up and the e-tendering process has been initiated.

On 14th June 2025, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) & Letter of Intent (LOI) has been signed in between CIDCO, Government of Maharashtra and five leading International universities, namely University of York, University of Aberdeen, University of Western Australia, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) allowing them to set up their campuses in Navi Mumbai.

World Class University Campus

Under the guidance of Govt. of Maharashtra CIDCO is facilitating the establishment of world class university campuses in Navi Mumbai under its Educity Initiative. The site for International Educity at Kundevahal is spread across approximately 100 hectares and is within 3-4 kms radius of the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

It is also connected through Multi-modal Corridor, Samruddhi Highway and Mumbai-Pune Expressway. It is located within just an hour’s drive from Mumbai and in close proximity to Aero-City, NAINA, Kharghar Corporate Park, Golf Course and Panvel Municipal Corporation area.

Work of Land Development

The site requires levelling and the land development will be carried out in four land parcels for ease of allotment of plots. The work of Land Development of Part -1 and Partl-2 of 50 Ha. Along with the work of 45m wide and 30m wide approach road has be taken up by CIDCO & e-tendering process is in progress.

After completion of these works, the Educity will be connected with direct access from NH 348(NH– 4B) JNPT Road via a 45m wide road. Further, CIDCO is planning a metro line M-24 that’ll connect Navi Mumbai International Airport to Panvel Railway Terminus, extending to the NAINA area, and also linking the proposed Aerocity and Educity for direct connectivity.
