The CSR Journal Magazine

A violent daylight murder in Jamnagar on Wednesday sent shockwaves through the city. This comes after a man was fatally stabbed in a crowded marketplace. Police said the victim, Jitendra Chavda, was attacked by Dilip, the estranged husband of his partner, Sonalben.

According to investigators, Sonalben had separated from Dilip due to repeated abuse and threats and had been living with Jitendra. She also claimed that Dilip frequently accused her of carrying another man’s child, worsening their marital dispute.

Victim Stabbed Multiple Times; Second Attacker Suspected

While travelling on a bike, Sonalben and Jitendra were intercepted by Dilip, who allegedly began an argument that quickly turned violent. Dilip reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Jitendra four to five times before fleeing. Sonalben told police she witnessed a second unidentified man assisting in the assault.

Despite attempts to take him to a hospital, Jitendra died on the way. The body has been sent to Jamnagar’s G.G. Hospital for postmortem as police teams work to track down the accused.

‘I am pregnant, we were going to Mamta Day’ The deceased’s wife Sonalben said that “I am pregnant, so we were going to Mamta Day when he collided with us and told us to turn the car back, so we turned the car back. Still, he started stabbing with a knife. There were two people – one Dilip Chauhan and another person with whom I don’t know”.

Bilaspur Sees Two Murders in One Night

In Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district, two gruesome murders occurred within hours. In Chorbhatti village, former sarpanch Manbodh Yadav was found with his throat slit. Yadav had ongoing disputes with villagers over land and election-related rivalry.

He left home on Wednesday evening but did not return, and his body was discovered the next morning in a pool of blood. Police detained a suspect and began interrogation.

Pregnant Woman Killed by Husband Over Suspicion

Another shocking case unfolded in the Koni area where a man, Jitendra Kevat, murdered his pregnant wife, Santoshi Kevat, after repeatedly doubting her character. The couple, married for 6–7 years, had a five-year-old daughter who witnessed the attack. Police said the accused used an iron rod during a heated argument around midnight. The child alerted her grandparents, who found Santoshi dead. The accused fled but was later arrested.

Investigations in both cases are underway.
