An engagement event in the Dhule district of Maharashtra resulted in tragedy as violence broke out between two groups, leading to the deaths of three individuals and injuries to three more. The incident occurred in Neelkanth Nagar, located in the Pimpalner taluka. Initial investigations reveal that the confrontation arose from a dispute regarding the names printed on the wedding invitation card.

During the engagement and haldi rituals, tensions escalated into an argument, culminating in an attack with sharp weapons. The victims, identified as Devendra Dnyaneshwar Pawar, Suresh Mojgir Gosavi, and Sahil Suresh Gosavi, were fatally injured during the altercation. All three succumbed to their injuries despite receiving medical attention.

Injuries Reported Amidst the Violence

In addition to the fatalities, three individuals sustained injuries during the incident. Pankaj Ashok Gir, Suresh Supadugir, and Sagar Gosavi were transported to a local primary health centre for immediate medical care. Reports indicate that one of the injured persons was later transferred to a district hospital due to the severity of their condition.

Allegations of Preceding Threats Surface

Families of the deceased have alleged that the attack was premeditated, claiming that earlier threats were communicated through a WhatsApp status. This assertion has raised concerns within the community regarding the nature of the conflict. The shocking turn of events has left the village of Pimpalner and the broader Dhule district in a state of disbelief.
